- Camouflage clothing: Not permitted in Rwanda — avoid any military-style patterns
- Excessive luggage: The roads are winding — traveling light makes the road trip better
Rwanda's Plastic Bag Ban — What This Means Practically
Rwanda has one of the world's strictest bans on plastic bags. At the airport, customs officials sometimes check bags and may confiscate plastic bags you have brought. Use fabric bags, reusable containers, and cloth pouches for your packing.
